PWSD 1 of Lincoln County offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.
Online Bill Payment
PLEASE NOTE: If you schedule a FUTURE payment online, please call our office to make sure we note it on your account, as the payment will not show up on our end until the date the payment actually posts to your account. Please do NOT try to make a payment arrangement on the website - you must call the office to arrange this personally. Scheduling a future payment online DOES NOT constitute a payment arrangement. Payment arrangements must be made either in person or over the phone by the account holder. Thank you.
If paying Online, just click the green "Pay Your Bill Now" button and follow the prompts. You will need your full account number and your CID number (shown on your bill above your account number on the top right hand side) to register to use the service. We strongly encourage all users to sign up to receive your bills via email. We accept payments via Visa, MasterCard or eCheck. All transactions scheduled on the Bill Payment system are user-defined and PWSD #1 of Lincoln has no access to this information. We are only made aware of a transaction when it posts to your account. This payment website is run by a third party. If you schedule a future payment, it is your responsibility to make sure that payment is charged to your card, as an expired card or incorrectly entered number could cause a payment issue. We are not responsible for payments that are not completed through the online billing system.
Phone Payments
You will need to call our automated payment system at 1-888-263-9391 to make your payment by phone effective 9/01/24. This system is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. We no longer accept telephone payments in the office.
Payment By Mail
If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five-seven business days before the due date specified on your bill. Please note that a penalty will apply if your payment is not received in our office by the due date of the 15th of each month (we do not use the postmark date).
Automatic Bank Draft
The worry-free way to pay your water bill. With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your bank account and credited to your utility account. There is no set-up fee or charge associated with this method of payment. To set up Auto Draft, simply download and fill out the Auto Draft Form (link at bottom of page). This form is also located in the Forms & Reports Section. You may drop it off or mail it to our office, along with a voided check.
Payment Options at Office
We accept CASH ONLY inside our office. Checks may be dropped in our green night drop box at any time. We check the box several times a day. To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, Fridays and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy.
Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay
Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer's account. Please consult with your bank for more information.
